The personal insurances we offer are listed below.

House Insurance

House Insurance covers for sudden accidental loss or damage to the insured house. The insurance cover includes items such as outbuildings,driveways; paths; retaining walls; swimming & spa pools; landscaping and more as optional cover.

The most common claims we see are:

  1. Gradual damage such as wall or floor damage from internal pipe leakage
  2. Weather-related damage to roofs
  3. Damaged joinery or flooring caused by internal floodings such as dishwasher or sink overflows

Contents Insurance

Contents Insurance covers for sudden accidental loss or damage to the personal belongings that occurs during the period of cover while they are in New Zealand.

The most common claims we see are:

  1. Lost wedding rings – remember there will be a specified limit for jewellery items
  2. Power surges damaging TVs, decoders and home computers
  3. Damaged and lost mobile phones, ipads

Car & Boat (Pleasure Craft) Insurance

 – Private Motor Vehicles Insurance:

Private Motor Vehicle Insurance covers for sudden accidental loss to the insured vehicle used for domestic purposes.  Insurance options are Full Comprehensive cover; Third Party Fire & Theft cover; or Third Party Only cover.

Some things you may not know about car insurance:

  1. Covers for the third party liability meaning if you back in to a fence the repairs to the fence are covered
  2. Often there is automatic cover for trailers (with set limits) under Full Comprehensive Cover.

– Pleasure Craft:

Pleasure Craft Insurance covers for the sudden accidental loss to the insured craft during the insured period occurring in New Zeeland. It also has cover for social yacht racing.

 

The most common claims we see are:

  1. Damage to outboard motors due to hitting rocks
  2. Malicious damage to the engine
  3. Theft of motor or accessories

Overseas Travel

Overseas Travel Insurance covers for those travelling outside New Zealand against risks such as loss of baggage, business equipment; medical expenses; disrupted travel; cancelled travel; and third party liability.

Common claims on a travel insurance policy

  1. Loss or theft of belongings
  2. Accident and illness medical costs
  3. Recovering costs if trips are cancelled or altered (always book your travel insurance as soon as you book your flights)
